Step One: Ingredients:
1/2 lb. hamburger
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups water, beef broth or beef stock
Pepper and salt, season to taste
1/3 cup cold water
1 drop browning sauce, opt.
Step Two: Beef:
Place hamburger inside a large, deep skillet. Crumble and prepare over medium high temperature until no more pink.
Step Three: Goodbye Grease:
Drain from the grease and go back to the burner.
Step Four: Onions:
Add some chopped onions and blend to mix. Prepare over medium high temperature, stirring frequently, until onions are softened.
Step Five: Seasonings:
Season with pepper and salt.
Step Six:
Add water, enough to simply cover the meat.Provide boil, lower heat, cover and simmer for 40 minutes.
Step 7:
Stir in small calculating cup, combine flour, cold water mix well, removing a protuberances. Then progressively stir flour mixture (add until right consistency) in to the hamburger gravy mixing while you pour to get rid of protuberances.
Step 8: Browning Sauce:
If using browning same, add 1 to drops, as alittle goes a lengthy ways.Mix well to mix with meat gravy.
Step 9:
Simmer for an additional twenty minutes, stirring frequently.
Step 10:
Serve with fresh mashed taters and homemade biscuits. Excellent. Quite simple!"
